Angel is written by L.A. Weatherly and published in 2010. It is a breath taking paranormal story about two teenagers Willow and Alex fighting to stop angels from taking over and killing all humanity, but while they are slowly fighting their battle they find each other. This book is a heart pounding, knuckle whitening, mind blowing, time stopping romance novel as well as a battle bigger than Alex and Willow themselves.
Alex may be a ruthless assassin but he thinks he may have found the only angel that deserves mercy, but is she truly and angel? Yes and no. Willow has a heart of a lion but the extraordinary powers of an angel.
Willow is my favorite character. Willow is a half angel by her father’s side and she has always been mature for her age, because she has had to look after her mother who has angel burn with insanity. Although Willow does not know who her father is she does not want to know. Willow has the extraordinary powers of an angel, she can read people’s futures, dreams, hopes and regrets all in just one touch. Willow does not care about what people think of her and if they think her clothes are cool, she is confident and self assuring. And even though she knows trying to stop the angels could cost her the life she is living she still fights to stop them.
Willow can possibly hold the key to destroying the evil angels, but as she and Alex collide an epic and life threatening journey starts. As the story unfolds Willow finds out the devastating cold secrets of her past and Alex finds himself drawn to willow.
L.A. Weatherly has successfully reinvented the angels!
I would recommend this book too every one that likes paranormal novels and romance. I would especially recommend it to twilight fans. To be honest I did not enjoy twilight a lot but angel just blew me away.
